From 8–10 April 2026, PHAntastic will participate in Polymers 2026: From Sustainability to Smart Systems, taking place in Lisbon.
This leading international conference brings together researchers, industry professionals and innovators to explore advances in polymer science — from sustainable and green synthesis to smart and functional materials, digital tools and AI in polymer design, and circular economy approaches.
As part of the event, PHAntastic will co-organise a Joint EU Project Workshop together with the ViSS and ANIPH projects, titled “Safe and Sustainable Bio-Based Polymers: From Design to End-of-Life in Circular Value Chains.”
The workshop will present advances in bio-based and biodegradable polymer solutions developed across European R&I projects, covering the full value chain from material design and processing to application and end-of-life. Discussions will address Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) approaches, circular solutions for sectors such as agriculture and packaging, digital and AI-enabled tools, and policy and regulatory challenges linked to biodegradation.
We look forward to contributing to the dialogue on how bio-based polymers can support the transition towards safer, more circular and sustainable value chains.
Don’t miss the opportunity to share your research, network with leading experts, and engage with the international polymer community next April in Lisbon!
Polymers 2026 will run jointly with Composites 2026 and 3Bs Materials Tech 2026, and registration for one conference grants access to all three events and their sessions.
